Three months since the release of ‘LAVANDAE (Sometimes)‘ from Diogo & Swilaw, Extended Records sub-label Discos Extendes line up ‘Subliminar‘ EP from Portuguese producer BLEID.
Defying all standards of mental imagery inflicted by the modern industry, the Lisbon-based producer joins the resistance with 5-tracks of eardrum science. After the release of their ‘Badness‘ EP with Violet on Naive and a selected track on XLR8R+018 compilation, BLEID continue to establish themselves as one of Portugal’s most influential names in the game. With steampunk footwork, bass-heavy breaks, and shapeshifting electro, ‘Subliminar‘ EP delivers a mind-warping percussion experience unlike any other.
Our pick from the album is ‘Jump That‘ – mastered by Carlos Nascimento at Qualia Audio Lab, the track broadcasts a lethal dose of adrenaline with its feverish drum arrangements, juke-infused basslines and sliced-up vocals, drawing out listeners in complete delirium over the course of 4-minutes.
‘Subliminar‘ is scheduled for release 17th May via Discos Extendes. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
