HAVEN know a thing or two about gritty rave gear. Run by Keepsakes and Jaded Nineties Raver, the Christchurch-via-Berlin-via-Auckland label have delivered an impressive range of techno weaponry on both their main label and white label series.
So far, the latter has focused mainly on compilations and tracks that were previously only available digitally or on cassette. The next dispatch continues in this fashion. Bringing together tracks by L.A. producers 138 and DJ Angeldu$t, it’s the first time these tunes have been available on wax.
On ‘The Clubhouse Archives’, the A-side is dedicated to 138, while 3 of DJ Angeldu$t’s tracks are reissued on the flip. Our pick is ‘Prescription Poolz (VIP Mix)’, a relentless onslaught of East coast club styles combined with some distinctly West coast flavour.
