In recent years, ARTS has become a dominant presence in the techno landscape. Founded by Greek native Emmanuel back in 2013, the Berlin label is now a regular port of call for those who like their techno dark and primed for bigger rooms.
Following a Bandcamp-only LP earlier this year, Emmanuel’s next full-length release lands on the Artscore sub-label. Alluded to in its title, the 12 tracks on ‘Force Of Nature’ draws inspiration from the natural world, influences incorporated within the producer’s regular rave palette.
Emmanuel has taken a slow and steady approach to the production of this album, which has come together over the course of the past decade. Overall, it’s a fine balance between heavy and melodic. ‘Culture’ is a great example of the producer’s ability to straddle the divide, blending emotive tones with a weighty percussive structure.
