After self-releasing their debut self-titled ‘Formation‘ EP two years ago, London based duo Formation immediately attracted interest, being described as “one of pop’s brightest prospects in yonks” and releasing 3 EPs last year on the Warner Music sub-label Meno Music.
Matt and Will Ritson recently released a single, ‘Pleasure‘, collaborating again with Leon Vynehall, who already co produced their ‘Under The Tracks’ EP, wrapping pop grooves with soft housey vibes. The single, which was originally released on 21st April 2016 via Meno Records is now revisited by the Australian rising star Mall Grab.
Well-known for soulful lo-fi house tracks often flavoured by dreamy and cherishing vocal samples on Shall Not Fade, 1080p or Collect Call, Mall Grab presents a very personal interpretation of ‘Pleasure‘. The remix features a mellow version of Formation’s track: hectic percussions which were hidden under the groovy Leon Vynehall bassline become the protagonists, the ragged and passionate vocals turn into a reverberated echo flavoured by a warm three-notes melody.
