Premiere: Frits Wentink – Royale

Following his recent ‘Timid Kickflip‘ EP in June on Bobby Donny imprint, London-based record label Wolf Music line up their eighth solo release from prolific Dutch producer Frits Wentink.

With releases on Dekmantel, Dam Swindle’s label Heist Recordings and Clone’s sub-imprint Royal Oak – ‘Remember That Feeling‘ EP explores our first memories of intimate togetherness on the dancefloor. Spread across three tracks, Wentink demonstrates an intricate ability to redefine the sound of house by juggling soulful vocals and garage-like MPC rhythms.

Our pick is ‘Royale‘ thanks to its buoyant sonic stride, kick-starting your day with a bounce, featuring waves of outer-space FX and deep-cut MPC grooves, the track is further enhanced with a pulsating bass line, dreamy harmonics and subtle vocals. This is a must have Wolf Music classic, primed, pressed and ready to slip into your record bag for a late-night boogie.

‘Remember That Feeling’ is scheduled for release on 8 September via WOLF Music. Order a copy from Juno
