A much intriguing label known for its nonformulaic, genre-mangling approach to electronics, Zagreb’s low income $quad welcomes like-minded Boston-based producer Isabella to the fold with ‘Post-Tonal Bouquet‘, her third tape album following a 2018-issued debut solo 12″ for Peder Mannerfelt’s self-titled imprint.
Picking up where she left off, Isabella once again hurls techno’s overworked mechs in a scalding hot bath of buzzing FX, vicious tape delays and hardcore-infused acidic pulsations, birthing a six-track herd of Frankeinsteinian floor-crushers.
Carpeting the club’s span with deluges of high-velocity kicks, hellish batucada-meets-jungle percs and chopped-up vox samples redrafted into shapeless sound blocks and permutable loops, our pick ‘Freethrow‘ notches up the pressure to further compelling levels of weird and untamed dance floor euphoria. Nasty one.
Post-Tonal Bouquet is released via low income $quad on 17th June, pre-order a copy from Bandcamp.
