In just a few short years, Kassian have garnered considerable acclaim. The production duo, comprised of Warren Cummings and Joe Danvers, have hit upon a winning formula for effervescent house tracks that have landed on labels such as Heist, Shall Not Fade and Phonica Records.
Earlier this year, the pair launched their own imprint named Faux Poly. In their view, the best sounds are not simply imagined and created, but rather emerge through exploratory processes. It’s this process-driven concept that informs the sound of the label.
Following a well-received initial outing, an EP by the name of ‘Chance Is Our Greatest Ally‘, the label’s next release arrives this week. Including three versions of the titular track, our pick is ‘No Clear Shape (Club VIP)’ which pairs swelling synths with effective driving rhythms.
