Inaugurated nine years ago with a quartet of VAs, Dresden-based imprint Uncanny Valley return to the compilation format to celebrate their 50th release. Split over seven EPs, the series kicks off with ‘Uncanny Valley 50.1‘, a four-tracker featuring music from Lauer, James Booth, Sandrow M & Will Dubner and Jules Etienne.
Streaming through our channels today, Lauer’s sunrise vibes-melter ‘Fanta Korn Tanker‘ acts true to his floor-ready precepts. Laying down a finely textured millefeuille of acidulous bass, arpeggiated synth chords and shimmering chimes, interlarded with a chill-but-sharp drumwork, the Running Back affiliate and Tuff City Kids half delivers a proper magic powder-coated ambient house ripper, primed for lazy outdoor dancing and laid-back boat parties. Ladies and gentlemen, the Hessen wizard has done it again.
Uncanny Valley 50.1 is out now, order a vinyl copy from Clone, or a digital copy from Bandcamp.
