Acclimatising to the humid temperatures of the Summer in Berlin requires ample supplies of coconut water, linen shirts and a soundtrack bolstered by Lawrence’s smooth blend of exquisite deep house. June 21st sees the release of the Dial co-founders suitably deep remix package of his 2018 album ‘Illusion‘ – featuring remixes from close friends and label affiliates; Shinedoe, Tracey, Trux and Carsten Jost.
Premiering today through our channels is Carsten Jost’s remix of ‘Transitions’, which surprisingly embellishes Lawrence’s sonorities even more to the original. This quintessentially deep remix extends over eight minutes, delivering a track that could be compared to the likes of Larry Heard’s earliest releases, thanks to the bouncy bass line, 808 claps, shimmering melody and reverberated vocals. It’s blissfully deep.
‘Illusion Remixes’ EP is scheduled for release 21 June 2019 via Dial. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
