Premiere: Lea Lisa – Keys Of Life (GU’s Esoteric Chicago Dub)

While Lea Lisa mightn’t necessarily be a household name, she’s gained props from house music royalty, listing Kerri Chandler, DJ Deep and Jovonn as fans. She’s been a part of the French and Swiss house scenes for decades and is affiliated with the InnerDisc record store in Toulouse.

In recent years, she’s been honing her abilities as a producer, racking up releases for labels including Inner Balance and Wolf Music. Like her DJ sets, her production style is rooted in a classic deep house sound. Even the title of this EP seems to be a nod to the dance music of days of yore.

Given the above, it’s fitting that this release is graced by Glenn Underground, the Chicago legend offering two iterations of the A1. Compared to Lea’s original, he’s toned back the euphoria on ‘GU’s Esoteric Chicago Dub’. That said, this one’s likely got more than enough feel-good positivity to satisfy the punters.

‘Keys Of Life’ is scheduled for release 7 May via Karakul. Order a copy from Phonica.
