Premiere: Leo James – The Centre Of Time

Since his solo debut on his own imprint Body Language back in 2015, the output of Australian producer Leo James has been synonym with choice blends of off-axis electronics, industrial rhythms and well-finished sound designs. After a first excursion on Vienna’s finest Neubau last year, the Melbourne-based producer steps up on Berceuse Heroique with ‘Event Horizon EP‘.

Our premiere – ‘The Centre Of Time‘ – is a fully immersive 20-minute ambient cruise across halcyon soundscapes and chimeric vistas, free from strife and sculpted accordingly to Leo’s habitual finesse in arrangements and texturing. Its satiny layers slink and spiral, from crystalline tonalities to greasy drone alterations and modular inflections, to eventually rise up to further unearthly spheres in the home stretch. An end-to-end enthralling trip.

Event Horizon EP is released via Berceuse Heroique in June.
