X-Kalay have successfully navigated the tricky waters that lead from up-and-coming label to trusted imprint. With an up-front selection of sounds that varies from – but is not exclusive to – electro to woozy house to dreamy breaks, their records find favour with the the finely tuned ears of the likes of Posthuman and DJ Seinfeld.
Continuing to blood the freshest talent, this year’s first release sees LT – or Lewis Taylor – hit the ground running with a three tracker. The foamy lead track ‘Staminize‘ is joined by ‘Rest Assured‘, which provides a chugging tour through classic breaks and crunchy 707 sounds.
However, with the tempo driven up, it is our premiere that steals the show. ‘Sputnik (B.S.S.)‘ absolutely fires through the cosmos, flitting between darkness and light at will. Absolutely jump on this one when it hits the racks.
