Succeeding the ‘Rebellion‘ EP from Maŕa, LDY OSC and S. English in July 2021, Brooklyn-based imprint Cultivated Sound prepares to release the six-track ‘Dawn‘ LP – courtesy of Cultivated Sound founder Maŕa.
On the grounds of collaboration with San Francisco band Ssleeping Desiress, Virtual Crimes and Italian producer Mystics, Maŕa returns with her first solo album ‘Dawn‘. Throughout her boundary-pushing aesthetics, Mara weaves a tenebrous reverie of outspoken trip-hop, stainless steel IDM, corrupted techno stompers and Spanish whispers on bass-heavy cuts.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘Conclusion‘ co-produced with Mystics – a meditative blackout navigating through neo-love solitude and platinum fantasy. Dark ambient soundscapes, space-echoed utterances and piercing oscillations intertwined with hi-hat ripples make this soundtrack the ultimate remedy for post-human sorrows.
