Hong Kong-based record label Transarctica prepare to unleash ‘Tiny Rave‘ EP from Dutch producer Marijn S.
Following a set of releases on Berlin-based record label Spray and Sann Odea, Marijn S returns with her ultra-anticipated EP consisting of three soft rave anthems, sweeping listeners into peaks of celestial breaks, dubbed-out IDM and slow-paced symphonies.
Our pick from the release is ‘Micro Wave‘. Kicking off with a breakbeat prelude reminiscent of the quick-mix theory from the legendary Grandmaster Flash, followed by space-echoed drum rhythms combined with a high-spirited chorus and deeply rooted basslines, the track encapsulates uncanny textures sitting between downtempo-infused IDM and deviant breaks, perfectly suited for a global warming situation on a deliquescent dancefloor.
