Premiere: Molly – Liamone (Philipp Priebe Reshape)

Following up ‘On The Road Again‘ EP in 2023, today French producer Molly marks her return to Phlipp Priebe’s Stólar imprint with her sophomore ‘Island Flow‘ EP featuring two solo tracks and remixes from Berlin-based producer Tobi Neumann and label boss Priebe.

After making the switch from Paris to Corsica for a more natural lifestyle – Molly’s music has subtly interweaved natural sounds into her productions resulting in releases across the likes of Giegling, Mexican label Kilómetro 4.5, Portuguese record label Groovement and her own label RDV Music.

Indeed the very influence of the natural world has developed an organic signature on Molly’s productions that is impossible not to be moved by. Her two solo tracks span subaquatic deep house as ‘The News‘ and a hauntingly slow and meandering ambient soundscape named ‘Liamone‘, which is either inspired by the capricious flow of The Liamone river or the legend of Liamone, one of the three brothers of Corsica.

Our pick from the release is Philipp Priebe‘s dub techno reshape of ‘Liamone‘ – steeped in detail, ethereal chords and atmospheric ambiance, Priebe permeates subtle waves of elation, washing listeners over with a delightful warmth. This is a gem of a reshape that can be compared to the productions of cv313 aka Echospace Detroit label boss Stephen Hitchell.

‘Island Flow’ is out now via Stólar. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
