Now on the cusp of their eleventh release, Swedish experimental imprint Possible Motive line up eight tenebrous ballads – courtesy of NBH alias Nothing But Heart – a Gothenburg-based producer duo.
Following appearances on the underground platform WEATNU Records – ‘Languor‘ transports listeners to a naive world that slowly fades away with the illusion of success. Across 8 -tracks, NBH glides through the dusk alongside kosmische synthesizers, IDM-infused melodies and bittersweet frequencies.
Our pick from the release is ‘Afraid of pretty things‘ – a dark ambient farewell to greedy tycoons beginning with ethereal soundscapes and flowing into swirls of neo-dramatic synthesizers and resentful rhythms. No matter how much we devote ourselves to the opulent path, we will eventually be stripped bare again.
‘Languor’ EP is scheduled for release on 20 October via Possible Motive. Order your cassette copy via Bandcamp.
