To coincide with the release of their debut track collaboration, today we premiere ‘Druidz‘, a melding of minds from two of Melbourne’s most treasured sonic architects Tim Shiel and nickname.
Emerging out of the stems of Tim Shiel’s 2022 single ‘Jacked Druids‘ – a meditative pop-inclined single featuring Joey Jean & Cazeaux O.S.L.O. – ‘Druidz‘ delivers a bonafide rave rejuvenation, courtesy of the talents of breakbeat specialist nickname – hardwiring warped vocals, old skool rave chords, brazen sub-bass and jungle patterns, to create a ravenous gun finger salute to UK rave culture.
‘Druidz‘ is the first single from Tim Shiel’s forthcoming album ‘Distractions Two: Variants‘ – the fourth volume in his continuing Distraction Season series, featuring parallel-universe reworks. Artwork is tip-top too.
