Although he operates out of Düsseldorf via Berlin, it’s definitely Bristol’s blood that flows through Orson‘s veins. Responsible for some of the finest dubstep riddims of the past decade, almost exclusively released via his own Version imprint, the German producer has kept chiselling high-fidelity weapons for the woozy hours. True to his ever surgical precision of composition and arrangement, his newest – ‘Life Gamble/12:09‘ – is scheduled to hit the streets on October 19.
Devotedly designing the kind of reverb-expanded soundscapes one can’t help but revel in, this top-notch new single of his further evidences his unmatched savoir faire in sieving stealth bass and delayed drum motifs within a truly whelming atmospheric sound design. Up on our channels now, ‘Life Gamble‘ indeed flies “slow and low under the radar” as the label puts it. An extra-fine slab of sluggish, ambient-tinged dub geared towards drowning the dancefloor in a thick haze of ganjah and other illicit vapours, this one’s a perfect remedy to the daily stress. Treat yourself, take a puff.
Life Gamble / 12:09 is released via Version on 19th October, pre-order a copy from Bandcamp.
