Today, Italian dark electronics label Wetware Echo announces a new compilation, ‘Residual Image‘, featuring a host of like-minded artists exploring the burnt out, grimy side of jungle, ambient, and dubstep.
After releasing a pair of EPs over the last year and a half, the label expands its output with this V/A compilation and immerses the listener in its world with 13 tracks from artists such as Ankubu, Wavefold, and Gabsphere.
The artist featured in today’s premiere is fellow Italian producer Pleading Fern (aka Michele Nannini). Having released two full-lengths and a handful of singles, Pleading Fern tackles the gloom residing within deep bass, breaks, and offbeat club sonics. Their contribution ‘Stacco‘, unleashes four minutes of dark, jittery jungle rhythms pierced with dubstep blasts.
‘Residual Image’ is scheduled for release on 1st December via Wetware Echo. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
