With a handful of convincing tape releases under their belt – including material from label head Bessiekat and Berlin-based Frenchman Willis Anne, Moscow-based imprint Isaiah Tapes sits ready to make a name for itself beyond the Russian borders.
Their first vinyl release – a 8″ courtesy of Safonov and Ray Kandinski, came out late last year and the label’s now set to break the year in with a debut twelve gathering three fine cuts from German up-and-comer Karl Lumont, 100% Silk affiliate Paradise 100 and Swedish floor-voodoo trader Prins Emanuel whom we’re glad to premiere the churning groover ‘Archibald Coteau‘.
Hailing from the banks of Malmö, hometown of the mighty Zlatan Ibrahimovic – but don’t take it as a sign of fate, Emanuel Sundin is quite the unsung herald of a grade A disco-house going off in leg-slicing mode.
Speeding up the retro-futuristic autobahn at full-throttle – high beams flashing and coachwork blazing, a rogue Italo bass roller prowls and unfurls via the car radio whilst a whistling melody merges from the trunk to keep the mood up. A last red light flare gleams in your wing mirror – it’s the dying sun all set to sail off. Breathe out! It’s time to flip the tape and step on the gas.
River Pass By Three is released on May 12th, pre-order a vinyl copy on Bandcamp.
