Premiere: Reehl – Crust

Private Persons continue their reign of scuzzed out terror with a 12” from “mysterious” London-based producer named Reehl. While sources indicate that the responsible party could well be associated with Lobster Theremin, we prefer to drop the hearsay and let the music do the talking.

Of the four tracks on offer, we’ve singled out ‘Crust’ as our premiere for it’s downright fierce, rugged and lo-fi attitude. Oversaturated bass and jagged stabs tease the arrival of a distorted kick drum. Equally coarse, the tracks claustrophobic energy heightens and build up tension throughout.

‘Acid Monkfish’ EP is out now on Private Persons. Order a copy from Juno.
