Italian producer Rico Casazza, a producer appearing on myriad labels from across the globe, releases his ‘Emptiness Form‘ EP, marking Prague-based label Moving Pictures‘ 8th vinyl outing.
The Moving Pictures team wear many hats: the mastering engineer Roman Rai and graphic designer Täino also produce and DJ their label’s releases, and operate a lathe cut service in the city that lets musicians cut their tracks to vinyl in micro-pressings.
After a string of locally-brewed releases, the label now turns to Casazza. With a decade of releases beneath his belt, Casazza has demonstrated a broad versatility as he explores his music, and the four-track EP on Moving Pictures of house-y techno cuts, seemingly cherry-picked for summertime parties: ‘Jan25‘, our premiere, certainly shows a lean towards the groovier side, a focussed rhythm studded with all the right elements to keep the feet moving.
