Pakistan may not be the first locale to spring to mind when thinking of cutting-edge electro material, but freshly-founded label Jugaar are set on changing that with ‘Vinland In Space‘ EP, their first release from label co-owner Rudoh.
Featuring four original cuts from Rudoh, each adding a further twist to the well-established genre’s formula, Jugaar have also reached out to Shedbug of Salt Mines records for an additional rework of ‘Van Turbo‘, the EP’s most eminent track, and our premiere from the release.
‘Van Turbo‘ may stumble at the start, but don’t let first impressions fool you: true to its name, in short time the track has stepped out into pacey and rolling club territory, the bedrock for the livewire samples, which give this track a competitive edge. Showing a talent for twists in the narrative, Rudoh keeps listeners guessing as he guides the track over countless shifts in force and energy, the punch of the first half playing out into stylish echoes.
