Eleven years after their inaugural release, French label Partyfine prepare to release an eight-track remix compilation – courtesy of French producer Pierre-Alexandre Busson, better known as Yuksek.
Following countless releases on JKriv’s Razor-N-Tape, Club Sweat, Barclay and Sydney-based imprint Sweat It Out!, ‘Dance’O’Drome Remixes’ portrays a world-class disco eclipse with a host of esteemed producers such as the legendary duo Red Axes, Sophie Lloyd, British producer Pete Herbert, Alex Blex and French supergroup Acid Arab.
Our pick for the premiere is Acid Arab’s interpretation of ‘O Gato‘ produced by Yuksek. As a result of its neo-Arabic melodies laced with double reed wind instruments, psyched-out echoes of wisdom, and mesmerizing rhythms that sit between club-focused tempos and Middle Eastern drumming traditions, Acid Arab delivers another snake-charming jam for prancing skeletons.
