Giant Steps x Cosmic Roots

On Sunday 18 September, Cosmic Roots landed in London to host a day-time dance at Giant Steps temporary home in Hackney Wick with Donna Leake, Frankie Valentine, plus Cosmic Roots residents Robi, Humble B Flat and Kudo Sol.

Since the festival is on hiatus until they find a new home for 2023, this dance acted as a tribute to the 2021 edition in North Norfolk, providing loyal dancers ample supplies of rare groove and hands in the air moments – all powered by a monumental and all enveloping six-piece Klipsch sound system.

Having attended and reviewed Cosmic Roots Festival 2021, we deemed it essential to attend the follow up event and provide those that couldn’t attend a few reflections from the dance.
