This week’s episode of Newtype Rhythms features a hard drum mix courtesy of Ontario-based talent Strick.
Standing firm whilst flying the flag with fervent, percussive fury has been the Ever The Strong imprint, heralded by one of the originators of the hard drum movement, NKC. Highlighting distinguished talents such as DJ JM, Lobby, MM, Syn and more – the label goes off and delivers a fresh new EP from Strick; an impressive producer that finds a fortuitous-yet-freeing approach to hard-drumming antics on Headbutt, putting out some of the best work that Even The Strong has released to date.
Strick’s energy was palpable to engage with and we were thrilled to find out that he could deliver a mix for Newtype Rhythms, capturing that same intensity in droves. Check out his thumping guest mix at 39 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up per usual.
