Tickets: Corner Klub with Anunaku, K Means, Toxido Mask, Escap Verte at Avalon Cafe

** TICKETS AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR **

On Saturday 18 September, Berlin-based Ecke Records bring their multi-disciplinary party series ‘Corner Klub’ back to London for a day party at Avalon Cafe in Bermondsey – working alongside Parametrica Studio, who are bringing down a custom built sound system to perfectly compliment the space.

The theme of the party is focussed around mindful, deep and headsy community spirit – the venue is lovely, a cafe / vinyl shop by day, then from 15:00 the system takes us through to midnight in the main room.

Joining the session, first up they have Anunaku – the capacious, exultant alias of UK Bass specialist Guglielmo Barzacchini (a.k.a TSVI), one of the proponents behind the infamous Nervous Horizons imprint. A name heralding from Mesopotamian mythology, Anunaku harnesses ethereal textures and a respectable knowledge of world music to make club music that is not only forward facing and rich, but also functional, yet incredibly intriguing. This has seen Anunaku featured on releases in the last few years for 3024 & AD 93.

Next up we have local hero K Means. Resident of Psychotherapy Sessions & Noods Radio, taking her name from an algorithm that she used when writing a music recommendation system, K Means has a soft spot for the darker and weirder facets of music. The Stockholm-born, London-based DJ, who got into electronic music through video games, forms one half of Avant Garbage with DJ ojo, whose show on Netil Radio explores the stranger margins of electronic music, and with Sarjan Paul she runs grassroots London club night Expansion Pak, with a commitment to booking under-the-radar talent.

Closing out the event back to back with Escap Verte (an alias of one co-founder of Ecke Records, with an ear for full bodied sound exploration) we have Toxido Mask, a DJ and producer based in Berlin. As a trained sound designer, Julia has focused her journey towards conveying individuality and intrinsic emotional connections within her works.

We will endeavour to continually monitor the current COVID-19 situation and make sure to keep our guests and artists safe. Therefore, please show either proof of recovery, proof of vaccination or a valid negative test at the door.

We kindly ask our guests to respect the situation. There will be adequate ventilation and hygiene stations throughout the venue.
