U announces ‘Haven In A Heartfelt World’ for Phantasy Sound

Following previous releases on ManMakeMusic, London based producer U has announced the release of ‘Haven In A Heartfelt World’ a 4 track EP for Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound imprint, scheduled for release on 20th October 2014.

Both filthy and sun-streaked, the EP delivers a solid blend of murky beats and sharpened melodies straight in the vein of The Haxan Cloak. Starting with the rolling beats and metallic synth rides of ‘The Kids Will Take Care of Themselves‘ before shifting to even darker extents with the bipolar groove of ‘Monogamy‘, bleeping and blooping until reason is lost.

For its part ‘Shame‘ offers a mixture of both black metal relics and droning fields, full Tenebrae and inconsolable hope for luminosity. The wonderful ‘Pilgrimage‘ closes the EP, taking us for a sonic wandering into our own inner sphere, dreamy soundscapes and languid guitar chords spreading out in slow-motion.

‘Haven In A Heartfelt World’ is released on vinyl October 20th with a ltd embossed sleeve designed by David Rudnick and digitally October 27th via Phantasy Sound. Pre-order a vinyl copy from Bleep.com
