Having cut her teeth setting up some of the best DIY parties in the US for years before moving to Berlin, becoming a resident of Wilde Renate along the way in 2018, LA-born DJ and Dig Deeper founder Alison Swing is all set to launch her own event series at Wilde Renate on 28 September, gathering for the occasion the talented likes of Mount Liberation Unlimited, Minor Science, Lauren Hansom, Telephones, with extra support from Fafi Abdel Nour, Budino, LOLSNAKE and Onio.
Headlining the first of these aptly-named ‘Uforia‘ parties, Swedish duo Mount Liberation Unlimited will cast a spell of love and unity upon the dancefloor. Fresh off the drop of their much invigorating, summer-ready debut LP for Stockholm’s Studio Barnhus a couple months ago, no doubt the pair will triumph in steering the dancers into lush, euphorically alien territories.
Another disco-house wizard from the North will be sure to keep the vibes flowing in the person of Telephones. From Sex Tags UFO to Running Back, through Full Pupp, Klasse and Love On The Rocks, the Norwegian producer has graced some of the finest labels out there in well over two decades of club-friendly operations. If you haven’t already, go check the much essential first two volumes of Henning’s ‘From The Vaults‘ adventures, out on his own label, European Carryall.
Elusive Whities mainstay and Trilogy Tapes affiliate Minor Science will step up to throw further quirk in the mix. Expert merchant of genre-busting, post-modern leg-sweeping ordnance, taking cues from a wide array of genres, including ambient techno, bass, acid, hip-hop and much more, Finlayson’s got plenty assets up his sleeve… so God knows which hand he’ll show us this time.
Having recently landed a much delectably lush and soulful mix for Altered Soul Experiment, Australian selector Lauren Hansom has built a solid reputation since establishing in Amsterdam a couple years ago. Spanning a supremely wide scope of influences, her mixes are the true stuff of dreams, seamlessly gliding across graceful downtempo reliefs and languid art-rock curves, meditative exotica and enticing synth-pop terrains.
