Borusiade provides an arresting journey for Newtype Rhythms

The latest episode of Newtype Rhythms features an artist that we have coveted for quite some time now; the flexible-yet-fascinating producer known as Borusiade.

Hailing from Bucharest, the Berlin-based artist has been making her mark since the mid-2000’s, gaining notoriety in the last few years with releases on Citirax, Cómeme, and Unterton. Between her penchant for well-crafted sound design, rhythmic density and narrative drive, Borusiade’s sonic future was well in-store for another album in due time.

Now, she presents her sophomore long player on Dark Entries entitled ‘Fortunate Isolation’ – a tapestry of cinematic sonics that segue between the wondrous and the wistful, worlds that engage in a grey area of burgeoning actions that take place within the confines of both the dancefloor and headphones alike.

Borusiade is one to craft journeys, and this album is no different. Coincidentally, her contribution to the mix series is not a guest mix, it too is a journey and we couldn’t be happier to present it to you. The journey provided starts at 51 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up with selections that range from Brahms to Barker to Ryuichi Sakamoto, and all the way to Shed.
