Seattle record label Heavy Sounds unleash a trio of heavyweight jungle rhythms, demonstrating how even as a throwback these sounds are just as vital, forward thinking, and futuristic as they were 30 years ago.
Operated by Quaad (formerly Farquaad), the label focuses on the atmospheric, ambient, intelligent side of the 90’s Jungle era. Quaad previously co-ran Vivid Recordings together with Wetman.
‘Intelligence Series Vol. 1‘ is tipped towards IDM-adjacent jungle, with the opener a rework of a Farquaad & Ben Kei track originally released in 2021 on Dalston Chillies. The second track showcases another fruity collaboration, this time with Laramie. The compilation closes with a Quaad solo jam. Very limited run of vinyl pressed on 140g wax with black sleeve.
