Joy O and Ben Vince collaborate on debut 12″ for Hessle Audio

Today Hessle Audio unveiled their second release of the year, a surprise debut from London-based DJ, producer and Hinge Finger co-founder Joy Orbison, made in collaboration with saxophonist Ben Vince. Reportedly introduced to Joy O by mutual friend Jon Rust, Ben Vince is a London-based musician who writes “loop-based experimental saxophone music“.

Scheduled for release 11th May 2018, the two-track 12” is said to be a result of “studio sessions together as well as manipulation of Ben’s existing recordings” that explores “the tonal, textural and rhythmic possibilities of Ben’s playing within a focused dancefloor framework“.

Following on from the EP, Vince will be releasing solo LP “Where To Now?” in late May, featuring collaborations with Micachu and percussionist Rupert Clervaux.

“Transition 2 / Systems Align” is scheduled for release 11th May 2018. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
