Latency release Lafawndah remixes from Tirzah & Coby Sey, Moor Mother and Laurel Halo

Following the release of Lafawndah‘s sophomore album ‘The Fifth Season‘ last September via Latency, today the French record label announce a three-track remix EP featuring reworks from Tirzah & Coby Sey, Moor Mother and Laurel Halo.

The Fifth Season (Versions)‘ is an arresting accompaniment to the full-length album. Tirzah & Coby Sey’s re-interpreation of ‘Le Malentendu feat. Lala &ce‘ is a much bolder and weightier composition than the original. Moor Mother adds her spoken word to ‘The Stillness‘.

However it is Laurel Halo’s version that steals the show. At over 11 minutes in length, Halo substitutes the original’s vocals for a detuned and pitched down version, resulting in a truly solemn sounding track.

‘The Fifth Season (Versions)’ is out now via Latency. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
