Lawrence and Carsten Jost inaugurate Dial Daytime Dance session at Griessmuehle

Dial co-founders Lawrence and Carsten Jost are set to host a new series of daytime sessions in Berlin as a logical consequence of 40 years of institutionalised house and techno.

It’s no surprise that daytime parties are on the rise in Berlin. Over the past two decades Dial have released music from a high grade array of producers and have gained an audience of discerning listeners – those that find comfort in deep tendencies and even deeper melodies.

Dial’s new series of daytime events enables their loyal followers the opportunity to experience their sound during the comfort of the day. Why wouldn’t you want to wake up, drink a coffee and dance your heart out all before midnight – allowing your mind and body ample time to recuperate for Sunday spent at Berghain.

Lawrence commented “the first Dial Daytime event created quite an unexpected vibe – dancers and DJs seemed to be enchanted from the first moment. I haven’t felt the energy and presence of music and people on such a specific level in a long time – immediately all of us knew, we have to continue doing this.

Carsten Jost commented “there’s something special about partying during the day that feels refreshing, thrilling and even transgressive. It’s also a perfect option for those of us who don’t want to disrupt our natural sleep cycles with a 36 hour bender.

The inaugural 12-hour session is scheduled to kick off at 10am on Saturday 19th January at Griessmuehle, a former grain store in the heart of Neukölln. The lineup consists of Lawrence, Carsten Jost, DJ Mindracer, Hang Aoki and rising Dutch producer Tracey. Expect everything from deep house, electro, industrial, leftfield, new-wave, EBM and techno.

Dial will host additional daytime dances throughout 2019, stay on Inverted Audio tuned for event announcements.
