Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham will host a UK exclusive listening session for the first-ever vinyl pressing of Marc Leclair’s Musique Pour 3 Femmes Enceintes, taking place on Saturday 9 May from 18:00 to 19:30.
The free-to-attend event is part of a global series organised by In Sheep’s Clothing Hi-Fi to celebrate the double LP release, with sessions taking place across Tokyo, New York, Portland, Oakland, Montreal and Los Angeles on 7 May. London is the final stop — and the only date in the UK.
Attendees will hear the album played in its entirety across its 72-minute runtime, with copies of the vinyl available to purchase in store on the day. One lucky attendee will also be in with the chance of winning an original 2005 Mutek CD pressing — a rare find for anyone who has lived with this record.
Originally composed over nearly seven years, Musique Pour 3 Femmes Enceintes is one of the most quietly affecting records in Leclair’s catalogue — a meditation on pregnancy, transformation and the slow miracle of new life. The In Sheep’s Clothing Hi-Fi double LP, pressed at Detroit’s Archer Record Pressing, marks the first time the album has been available on vinyl.
‘Musique Pour 3 Femmes Enceintes’ is scheduled for release on 24th April via ISC Hi-Fi Selects. Listen and buy from Inverted Audio Record Store.
