Meakusma, Ominira and Viola Klein join forces to release ‘We’

Cementing their international relationship between Senegal, Belgium, Detroit and Cologne, ‘We‘ marks the first joint release from Julion De’Angelo and Viola Klein, published in union by the imprints Meakusma, Ominira and Viola Klein.

Consisting of 5-tracks, the EP combines leftfield house with live percussion and Senegalese rhythms. The A-side features Julion De’Angelo reworking the voice of Florent Kandety in ‘N’aie Pas Peur‘, whilst ‘Don’t Be Scurred‘ grabs our attention with it’s shuffling and soulful house beat.

The B-side features three tracks from Viola Klein reworking Mbalax rhythms of the Sabar ensemble composed of Abdou Aziz, Abdoukhadre & Adramé Diop. Workshop affiliated producer Whodat steps in to collaborates with Viola Klein on ‘We (Part Two)‘ – ramping up the BPM to footwork levels.

‘We’ is scheduled for release 16 March 2020. Listen to clips on Soundcloud and order a copy from Crevette Records.
