Mnemonic Devices returns to Workshop with remix EP feat. Mix Mup, Lowtec and Kassem Mosse

Following his 2025 cassette album on Workshop, Philipp Waltinger aka Mnemonic Devices returns to the German label with Workshop 34. A four-track remix EP built around a single untitled composition, the record is a tightly considered package that functions as both a showcase for Waltinger’s source material and a demonstration of Workshop’s depth.

The A-side opens with Mix Mup‘s remix, the producer applying his characteristic angular sensibility to Waltinger’s original before the untreated version follows — low-slung, skittering, sci-fi-inflected leftfield techno that confirms why the source material drew three distinct readings. The flip is given over to Lowtec and Kassem Mosse, two producers whose fingerprints are inseparable from Workshop’s identity over the years. Each approaches the material differently and arrives somewhere distinctly their own, the contrast between the two sides of the record illustrating what has made the label’s sound so durable.

Mnemonic Devices – Workshop 34 is scheduled for release on 10th July via Workshop. Listen to and Pre-order a vinyl copy from Inverted Audio Record Store.
