The latest episode of Newtype Rhythms features the capable and chameleonic stylings of Photonz, a Lisbon luminary who’s been making waves in the last few years.
A masterful sonic journeyman, Photonz has spent years crafting sounds that imbue a sense of adventure and adulation for the curious-minded dancefloor faithful, expounding on melodic mischievousness most recently with his ‘Angel Heart‘ EP on Naive, fervently cementing his status within the pantheon of one of the more genre-flexible producers making music currently.
That said, Photonz’s mix is just as impressive and he flexes those muscles in magnificent fashion. Check out his brilliant mix at 42 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead brimming things up to boil to start it up.
