Cosmic Breeze Records is a new label run by two producers from Belgium, Toolate Groove and Bass Toast. And although the label is only on their second release, it’s already clear that the pair have a knack for crafting soulful house and adjacent styles.
On ‘In Between’, Bass Toast steps up with two highly-polished and stylistically diverse tracks. ‘Nona’ is a slice of jazzy electro and ‘3 Flutes’, our pick of the two, is house music of the smoothest variety.
‘3 Flutes’ is a laid back number that does exactly what it says on the tin. Here, flute melodies sitting atop a bed of keys, shuffling hats and a buoyant bassline. It’s a whimsical, meandering trip, equally suited to the lounge as to warming up the club.
