Following in the wake of Cool Tiger‘s recent album, the Junction Records label boss pieces together a deft remix EP spanning IDM, breakbeat, psychedelic groove and rave.
Said to consist of some of Mathieu Carsique’s favourite producers, the French artist enlists De School resident and Psychedelic Romance’s owner JP Enfant, hardware lover Nadia Struiwigh, Junction Records’ own David Scopes and live performer Oneven to cast their own shadow on ‘Synestopia‘.
Our pick from the EP is the digitally forged ‘Alive (Oneven Stuxnet Remix)‘ – replete with juddery IDM, bleep and electro patterns, Oneven weaves a multidimensional remix, sounding similar to the output of Autechre and provides a suitable ode to the malicious Stuxnet computer virus.
