Premiere: Dagga – El Pasajero

Jupiter 4 continue their reign of sonic terror with their next EP, ‘ Inert Hologram‘, another firebomb record taking electro and screwing it up into something different, this time courtesy of Dagga.

The first release from the label since management finished co-founding a new second-hand record shop in Berlin with Libertine Records, located on the cusp of Berlin’s Görlitzer Park, it’s nice to see the pandemic hasn’t reduced Jupiter 4’s impetus one bit. After the onslaught of DJ Akoza’s warp-speed hip-hop/electro/genre confusion album, Dagga takes the reins for further madness under the influence of saturated bass and vicious acid.

El Pasajero‘ sees the label and artist baring their collective fangs widest. There’s absoutely no compromise or loss of energy going on here: the bassline rolls like thunder, the stabs kick like absinthe, the acid — sparingly used for the deadliest effect — is wily and playful. All in, heavyweight gear, with the laser sight trained firmly on the dancefloor’s weakspot.

‘Inert Hologram’ is scheduled for release July 2 via Jupiter 4. Order a copy from Bandcamp
