Premiere: DJ Whipr Snipr – My Queen Adelene (ft. Amela)

Anchored in the beautiful city of the same name – nestled just south of Brisbane on the Gold Coast, Christopher McIvor’s imprint Nerang Recordings is slowly but steadily carving out a niche in the continually expanding underground house scene. With a few irons on the fire, including a pair of anticipated VA’s scheduled for release in the next couple months, the Aussie producer slips into his DJ Whipr Snipr suit again on ‘Queen Adelene EP‘, out now on the freshly-revived Chill Records.

Originally launched in 1990, the UK-born and based label’s looking to earn its place in the sun again, 25 years after its last outing. Up first with yet another fine batch of his signature feelgood summer heaters, McIvor dishes out a lax menu of beaming poolside ambiences and breezy grooves. Streaming over our channels today, ‘My Queen Adelene‘ channels its fluids and energies into a lush delta of exo-eroticism, as rattling hats and ethereal synth emissions coalesce along Amela’s sensual voice – chopped up and edited, before dissipating in a dense, rapturous haze.

Queen Adelene EP is out now via Chill Records, order a copy from Beatport.
