Returning to his Supervoid imprint, Berlin-based producer Dustmite lines up his next release in the form of ‘Towers‘ — blending together delicate electro traits with elements of techno and acid house, resulting in a concise 12-inch.
Our track premiere ‘Pods‘ kicks things off with a strong presence of electro trimmed with no-excess drum programming, replete with clipped 8-bit beep workout that grants both the melody and the impetus to push the track through the maze of terse percussion.
‘Pods‘ proves that there’s still room within the formula for new rhythms. Working with a minimal sound aesthetic and filling the gaps with echoing drum fills and variation, each element of the track binds itself to the others, creating an effect of raw simplicity.
