Run by Selective Response – Crisis Of Man is a California record label focussed on the grittier side of electronic music. Their next release consists of two gnarled tracks: one by the label boss and the other by local producer EAS.
A rising talent in the LA scene, Tympanum Records co-head EAS leans toward a hard-edged sound. Originally a fan of rock and metal, you can possibly spot these earlier musical interests in his abrasive take on techno, which has landed on labels such as Soma and Perc Trax.
‘Perfect Immortal Machine’ is a tough peak-time number. A rugged techno/electro chassis keeps things moving with a distorted vocal and twisted synth thrown in here and there for good measure.
