Succeeding the ‘Ubiquity’ release from Brainbeats in January 2024, Lyon-based imprint Virtual Forest returns with the six-track ‘Sirens’ EP – courtesy of Swiss draughtsman Fels.
After numerous appearances on German imprint Crux Axul and Stoneground, ‘Sirens‘ weaves the tale of intrepid tightrope walkers pledged to the world of dreams – including a remix from Bristol-based hotshot Galtier and Caldera. As a result, Fels has crafted a sequence of six other-worldly soundscapes spanning voracious breaks, subconscious shears of IDM and blissful downtempo.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘Coder V‘ thanks to its intricate subaqueous oscillations, thumping kickdrums, perky soundscapes and cutting-edge chord progressions for slumbering zealots gazing upon a dubbed-out sound panorama.
