Premiere: Kit Grill – Colour Channel

Following two releases in 2018 via his own imprint Primary Colours Records, London-based artist and producer Kit Grill returns with a stunning four-track cassette of crystalline electro and high energy techno.

Surface‘ marks his first release of the year and after an initial listen is proving difficult to put down. Opener ‘Acting‘  is like a sped up pill crunching version of Orbital’s “Belfast” but it is our premiere that steals the show.

If you enjoyed our track premiere last year of Barker’s beautifully fluid dance floor tool “Filter Bubbles“, then  “Colour Channel” could be the perfect track to soak up next. It’s a dazzling groover, produced so clearly it almost elevates the listener into a higher state of consciousness. As the track progresses a weighty bass and kick drum powers in, grounding the listener to the dance floor.

‘Surface’ is scheduled for release 15 March 2019 in cassette and digital formats. Order a copy from Bandcamp.

Kit Grill performs at Oval Space with Conforce, Ariwo, Space Afrika, Burnt Friedman and Mohammad Reza Mortazavi on Saturday 23 March. Grab a ticket here.
