Track after track, the tension surrounding the new effort from French electro-techno duo Louisahhh and Maelstrom keeps rising. Spread from January to May, at the approximate pace of one (digital only, for now) single a month, the tracks forming the backbone to their ‘Silence Is Violence‘ EP will be mustered up for vinyl release via their own imprint, RAAR, on May 25th.
Following up to the proto-punk, EBM-tinged grit of the lead-track ‘Silence Is Violence‘ and the blazing electroid throb of ‘Vital Energy‘, this time the duo goes full-on big room techno mode with ‘Winter‘ – a malevolent stomper tailored to storm the walls of the club with heavy artillery barrages of 909 kickdrum and droning thunder, as a breathless woman seeks refuge from the mysterious herd after her. Brace yourselves… you know the rest.
Winter is released digitally via RAAR on April 25th, grab it from Juno. Full EP ‘Silence Is Violence’ will be available in vinyl format from May 25th.
