Following a set of precision dancefloor tools by IORI and a batch of murky soundscapes from O Yuki Conjugate, Kynant Records are back, this time with a release from Mike Parker. On his latest EP, the Buffalo-based legend unveils four heaters aimed squarely at the floor.
Since the nineties, Mike Parker has been refining his take on techno. Often driving and hypnotic; sometimes spacious and cerebral, much of the artist’s output has arrived via his own Geophone imprint. He’s also been recognised by some of the most revered labels in the game, with Tresor and Spazio Disponibile recruiting the US artist for releases in recent years.
‘Bleepazoid’ sees Parker in fine form. The tracks across the EP are refined but intense, all great examples of the artist’s ability to weave mesmerising sonic tapestries. Fierce from the get-go, our pick is the deadly ‘Heat Inducer’.
‘Bleepazoid’ is scheduled for release 17 September via Kynant Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
