Following releases from Flippen Disk misfit Teqmun, Sam Young and Kendu Bari, Amsterdam-based imprint Sann Odea return with the firecracker bundle ‘Sentadona‘ EP, courtesy of Spanish-born producer NAKANO BLU.
After several releases on Rotterdam-based imprint Infinite Pleasure, Corresponding Positions and LXVIII, ‘Sentadona‘ reveals a sonic fantasy in which artificial holograms redefine Latin America’s signature sound. Spanning over 4-tracks, NAKANO BLU weaves together mutant favela funk, experimental breaks and chuggy techno.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘Sentadona‘ – a drone-like introduction swiftly replaced with a carioca funk anomalously drained with psychoactive FX sounds and dodgy vocals. Do not be fooled by this eardrum-esque vortex, you may lose your corrupted data and feel like a newborn again.
‘Sentadona EP’ is scheduled for release on 1st December via Sann Odea. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
