Plaisir Sounds join forces with Mystery Zone Records to release ‘BURNING HEAT’ – a 6-track extended player featuring contributions from Plaisir Sounds label heads Quickweave (Jalen Dilosa) and Redance (David Yaconi), rounded off with remixes from Nick Holder and AceMo.
As the lockdowns across the United States began to ease, Dilosa and Yaconi were hard at work cooking up the kind of sounds they wanted to hear at Mercy, their post-lockdown party venture. Now that these tracks have been road-tested in New Orleans and beyond, they’re ready to be released to the wider public.
With sensual vocals, slick beats and dreamy pads, these silky cuts take cues from golden-era house tracks. On his remix of Quickweave’s ‘You Lied To Me’, AceMo roughs things up, rehashing pads to inject some extra energy and introducing infectious swinging drums.
